India -based Jindal Stainless and AB Energia Solutions Pvt. Ltd. have completed a 30.34 MW solar energy project at the Jajpur manufacturing unit in Odisha. The system includes a 7.324 MW floating solar installation on a reservoir and a 23.02 MW rooftop solar setup across 10 industrial roofs. Designed to operate within a single industrial campus, the plant is expected to produce around 44.3 million units of electricity annually. This output can offset approximately 32,208 metric tons of CO₂ emissions each year. The floating solar section is positioned to utilise unused water surfaces while also helping reduce evaporation. The project decreases the site's reliance on conventional grid electricity by incorporating multiple solar technologies across available structural and water spaces.
