Vesper Energy, headquartered in Texas, has completed the installation of 1.36 million PV modules at its Hornet Solar project in Swisher County. The project spans around six sq. miles and has a planned capacity of 600 MW AC and is expected to supply electricity to 160,000 homes annually. The project has been developed in collaboration with Blattner, Vesper Energy's EPC partner. The project uses bifacial PV modules mounted on a single-axis tracking system to enhance energy production efficiency. Hornet Solar is interconnected to Oncor Electric’s transmission system within ERCOT and has four off-take partners under Virtual Power Purchase Agreements. Hornet Solar is scheduled for full commercialization by spring 2025, contributing to Texas’ growing renewable energy infrastructure.
