Hindustan Power allocates INR 620 crore for Assam solar, BESS

Assam and Hindustan Power agreed on an INR 620 crore investment for a 100 MW solar plant and battery storage system, expanding its renewable portfolio.

India-based Hindustan Power signed an agreement with the Assam government to invest INR 620 crore ($71.03 million) in solar and battery storage projects. The plan includes INR 500 crore ($57.28 million) for a 100 MW solar power plant. It also includes INR 120 crore (~$13.74 million) for a battery energy storage system. The company previously developed a large solar power plant in Assam in 2016. Hindustan Power is an independent power producer. It has a global portfolio of renewable and transitional electricity generation assets.
