Heelstone Renewable Energy, a US-based renewable energy developer, has acquired Valor Infrastructure Partners’ assets and team. The acquisition includes early-stage onshore wind projects in the Western US and a 190 MW advanced-stage PV project in Texas. According to Heelstone Renewable Energy, the Texas project is expected to begin commercial operations between 2027 and 2028. Eleven Valor Infrastructure Partners employees, including former CEO Mike Weich and Chief Development Officer Daryl Hart, have joined Heelstone. As per Heelstone Renewable Energy, the combined team now has about 60 professionals with expertise in solar, wind, and battery storage. Heelstone Renewable Energy, which has a portfolio exceeding 5 GW, completed its first acquisition since being purchased by Qualitas Energy in May 2024 to strengthen its position as an independent power producer.
