India-based Hazoor Multi Projects Limited (HMPL) plans to establish a 500 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh with an investment of INR 2,500 crore (~$286.83 million ). The company has submitted a proposal to the state government for setting up the project in Prakasam district over 2,000 acres. The New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation (NREDCAP) will support the execution of the project. The Andhra Pradesh government has also requested HMPL to submit a detailed project report (DPR). HMPL operates in renewable energy and road construction on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis. Recently, the company entered the domestic renewable energy sector by developing 1.2 GW of clean energy projects across 4,200 acres in Maharashtra.
