Gurīn Energy, headquartered in Singapore, has completed its first operational solar project in the Philippines, a 75 MW plant in Palauig, Zambales. The solar facility spans 80 hectares and consists of 136,363 ground-mounted PV panels. The plant is expected to generate clean electricity while avoiding 53,100 metric tons of carbon emissions annually. Shizen Inc, a fully-owned subsidiary of Gurīn Energy, owns the project. UnionBank of the Philippines served as the sole financier, while Aboitiz Power Corporation secured the offtake agreement through its retail electricity units, Adventenergy Inc and Adventpower Inc. These initiatives align with the Philippines' goal of achieving 35% renewable energy in the power mix by 2030.
