GRS, a company specialized in the construction of photovoltaic plants, has reached an agreement with Recurrent Energy, a subsidiary of Canadian Solar. They will build the 171 MW (DC) Carwarp Solar Farm in Victoria, Australia. This project increased GRS’s total capacity in the country to over 2GW. It featured bifacial solar panels from Canadian Solar and single-axis trackers from PV Hardware. The farm connected to Ausnet’s Carwarp terminal station through a 6.7 km 220 kV overhead line and was scheduled for completion in the second half of 2026. Recurrent Energy stated that the project supported Victoria’s renewable energy goals. Located 35 km south of Mildura, the solar farm aimed to supply clean energy to homes and businesses. Gransolar Group leaders highlighted its benefits, including job creation and emission reduction.
