Africa-based Ghana has begun constructing a 200 MW solar park at Dawa Industrial Park in Greater Accra. Developed by Solar for Industries (SFI) with $150 million investment, the project is one of West Africa’s largest solar facilities. SFI, a subsidiary of Quarm Investments, secured $100 million financing from the International Finance Corporation in December 2023 and is supported technically by Enclave Power Company. The facility will initially supply businesses in the Dawa Industrial Zone and later expand to 1,000 MW. President John Dramani Mahama also attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
