Dimension Energy, an Atlanta, Georgia-based solar project developer, has celebrated the grand opening of Union Township’s largest community solar installation at 750 Union Avenue. The 3.12 MW rooftop project is expected to save over 450 households an average of $900 per year on electricity bills, amounting to nearly $20 million over its lifetime. According to Dimension Energy, the company operates 29 rooftop community solar projects across New Jersey that will serve 10,000 households by the end of this year. Black Bear Energy, a Boulder, Colorado-based clean energy advisory firm, partnered with Dimension Energy to deliver the project. The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, headquartered in Trenton, was represented by President Christine Guhl-Sadovy, who said the project would provide significant savings for subscribers. The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters, also based in Trenton, highlighted that the initiative supports affordable energy access and creates local workforce opportunities.
