DAS Solar, a China-based manufacturer of PV modules, has introduced flexible PV mounting systems designed for diverse environments. DAS Solar said that its system was first deployed in Hainan’s 70 MW fishery PV project, where it has withstood Typhoon Yagi in 2024, with TÜV Rheinland verifying the structural integrity. In Mu Us Desert, DAS Solar’s mounting has adapted to slopes exceeding 60 degrees, supporting desert restoration and vegetation growth. In Yunnan Province, DAS Solar has enabled an innovative “PV + herb” model, where medicinal crops were cultivated beneath solar arrays. In Shandong, DAS Solar’s system was installed over mushroom sheds and orchards, ensuring light access while enabling agri-PV integration. According to DAS Solar, these deployments have demonstrated adaptability, stability, and dual productivity across extreme weather, complex terrains, and agricultural landscapes. Recently, DAS Solar has unveiled a hot spot prevention strategy with half-cell design.
