Dalmia Cement (Bharat), an India-based cement manufacturer, has agreed to procure 10 MW of solar power from Kilavikulam Rajalakshmi’s captive plant in Tamil Nadu. The company will also acquire a 35% stake in the solar power developer for INR 3 crore (~ $330,000). Kilavikulam Rajalakshmi, a special purpose vehicle, was established for the 10 MW solar project. Dalmia Cement has set targets to achieve RE100 by 2030 and become carbon negative by 2040.
