Closura, a solar infrastructure startup headquartered in Le Thou, France, has launched modular aluminium solar carports to support national solar mandates. As per Closura, the carports are designed to comply with the Climate and Resilience Act (2021) and the APER Act (2023), which require 50% solar coverage on large parking lots between 2026 and 2028. Each unit has been built using marine-grade aluminium, includes four 110 mm support posts, and features a 5°–10° sloped roof for solar efficiency. Closura has stated that each carport can generate up to 7.5 kW and is offered in plug-and-play or ready-to-install formats. The company has included optional components such as EV charging ports, privacy screens, gutters, and monitoring tools. Closura has confirmed that all units are fully manufactured in France and are available with two RAL finish options and a 25-year roof warranty.
