Thailand-based CK Power Public Company Limited (CKP) and its subsidiary, Bangkhenchai Company Limited (BKC), have issued over 39,660 RECs since 2022 through solar projects registered with trading platforms in collaboration with Innopower. CKP is currently developing 13 MW of PV projects with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), with its first site scheduled to begin operations in early 2025. BKC has also signed a Power Purchase Agreement with the Provincial Electricity Authority for a 6 MW solar project under Thailand’s Feed-in Tariff program, targeted for completion by 2027. In 2024, CKP began exploring new REC certification opportunities through its partnership with Mekha V Company Limited using the ReAcc platform. These initiatives are expected to help CKP exceed 95% quota of renewable energy in its portfolio by 2043.
