France-based GreenYellow received €70 million (~$72.94 million) in funding from Caisse d’Épargne Île-de-France to build 133 solar power plants in mainland France. These plants have a total capacity of 74.5 MW and will produce over 85 GWh of electricity each year. Of this, 30% will be used for self-consumption, while 70% will be supplied to the grid. The portfolio consists mainly of solar rooftops (2/3) and photovoltaic carports (1/3), along with some ground-mounted plants. It also includes initial projects integrating photovoltaics with battery storage. GreenYellow has completed seven financing transactions over four years, refinancing 510 projects and installing 273 MW capacity. The initiative aligns with regulations on solarizing rooftops and large parking areas. Lenders’ advisors included BCLP (legal), Syneria (technical), H3P (financial model), and Marsh (insurance), while Bentam Avocats advised the borrower.
