Boviet Solar opens First U.S. manufacturing facility in North Carolina

The first U.S. PV module plant by Boviet Solar in is set to open on April 24, 2025, with a $294M investment and 2 GW capacity, while Phase 2 is planned for H2 2026.

Vietnam based, Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd. has announced the opening of its first U.S. PV module manufacturing facility in Greenville, North Carolina. The new manufacturing plant, backed by a $294 million investment. The plant will produce monocrystalline PV modules for residential, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications. The facility will feature advanced N-Type solar cell technology. The production for Phase 1 is set to begin in Q1 2025, with an initial annual capacity of 2 GW. A second phase will add a 600,000 square foot PV cell factory, expected to be operational by H2 2026. A opening ceremony is scheduled for April 24, 2025, at the Greenville facility.
