BNZ, a European renewable energy company, has signed a 28.37 MWp energy performance contract with Proef for the Muro solar plant in Trofa, Portugal. According to BNZ, the plant is expected to generate 43.68 GWh annually and avoid over 14,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. The company has stated that this is its first EPC agreement signed in 2025, following a PPA in Portugal in October 2024. Commissioning of the project is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. Proef is responsible for construction and engineering, while Andersen, Enertis, and TripleWatt are supporting legal, technical, and project development aspects. As per BNZ, the Muro project contributes to its 1.7 GW renewable energy target in Europe.
