UK-headquartered Aura has secured GBP 33.1 million ($41.69 million) in financing from Rabobank. The funds will be used to develop the 40 MW (AC) Burtree Lane solar project in Darlington, UK. The project aimed to generate electricity for 14,000 homes. It was also expected to cut CO₂ emissions by 10,000 tons annually. This funding came after Rabobank provided GBP 44 million (~$55.42 million) for Aura Power’s Kemble solar project. This showed its support for large solar projects. Rabobank also partnered with the European Investment Bank (EIB). They signed a €300 million (~$ 314.61 million) agreement to help small sustainable businesses in the Netherlands.
