Aspen Power, headquartered in Texas, has acquired a 23 MW DC community PV portfolio from Greenwood Sustainability Infrastructure in New York. Located in NYSEG and National Grid utility territories, these projects will join New York’s Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) program, offering subscribers discounted electricity rates. The portfolio includes Single-Axis Tracking systems, which enhance solar generation by adjusting panel orientation throughout the day. Aspen Power will manage construction and operations, ensuring timely grid integration and long-term renewable energy production. The acquisition expands Aspen Power’s community solar capacity, providing lower-cost clean energy to households and businesses. GSI’s role in the portfolio transition enables the repurposing of solar assets for community solar programs, supporting increased distributed solar deployment across the state.
