Aspen Power, a US-based distributed generation company, has commissioned ten solar sites totaling 42.5 MW across Pennsylvania. According to Aspen Power, this rollout completes its seventh renewable energy park in the state and generates electricity for about 8,500 homes annually. The company said the power is procured on a captive basis by industrial clients to meet operational energy needs. The projects also provide long-term lease income to landowners and support local infrastructure upgrades like interconnections and site access. Aspen Power stated that around 800 jobs were created during development, construction, and maintenance. The installations contribute to Pennsylvania’s target of sourcing 18% of electricity from renewables by 2025. As of April 2025, Aspen Power has developed or acquired over 600 renewable projects across 26 US states.
