Ashtrom Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of Israel-based Ashtrom Group, has secured a 20-year PPA with CPS Energy. The agreement is to provide electricity to the municipality of San Antonio, Texas. Under the agreement, CPS Energy will purchase 70% of the 150 MW AC El Patrimonio solar project’s output and associated Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) at a fixed price. The remaining 30% will be sold on Texas’s open electricity market. The project, located in Bexar County, Texas, is expected to begin operations in H2 2027 to generate enough electricity to power approximately 37,500 homes annually. Ashtrom Renewable Energy is expanding its presence in the ERCOT market but will also support local initiatives through scholarships, student field tours, and job fairs. Ashtrom Renewable Energy has a US development pipeline of 1.8 GW DC and a global portfolio of approximately 2.5 GW DC.
