The Andhra Pradesh government proposed energy plans for Anantapur and Sri Sathya Sai districts, India focusing on Madakasira region. A new substation was inaugurated under APSPDCL to support local grid infrastructure. Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar confirmed that 20 lakh solar connections were approved across the state under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, with 10,000 units allocated to each Assembly constituency. Madakasira is scheduled to receive three new substations to address electricity supply gaps. Solar and wind energy projects are expanding in the area. A ₹7,000 crore solar park has been proposed in Madakasira, with land to be acquired through lease arrangements. The project is expected to add capacity for rural electrification and introduce long-term lease benefits for local landowners.
