India’s AM Green and the Port of Rotterdam Authority had signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a green energy supply chain between India and Northwestern Europe. The partnership aims to facilitate exports of up to 10,00,000 tons of green fuels annually, enabling up to USD 1 Billion in trade. The collaboration includes development of bunkering fuel infrastructure, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) supply and port facilities to handle hydrogen-based products. Rotterdam will supply 13% of Europe’s energy demand, serve as the gateway to connect India’s green industrial zones with Europe’s clean energy targets. Initial green ammonia production will begin in Kakinada, contributing to AM Green’s 2030 target of 50,00,000 tons capacity.
