Alight, a Sweden-based solar developer, has secured a financing agreement with ABN AMRO and SEB to support over 300 MW of solar projects in Finland. As per the company, €46 million (~$50.1 million) in senior debt was obtained for a 100 MW solar park in Eurajoki, which is in late-stage development. The same financing model will be used for three additional solar projects, which are expected to add over 200 MW and secure more than €110 million (~$119.9 million) in debt. The Finnish Solar Energy Association said that if fully realized, these projects could expand Finland’s solar capacity by 25%, as the country's installed capacity was 1.2 GW at the end of 2024. Recently, Alight secured €110 million (~$119.9 million) in senior debt from Rabobank to fund 220 MW of solar parks in Sweden.
