ACEN, a listed energy company of the Ayala group, and US-based renewable power company BrightNight have begun commissioning the first phase of the ~153 MW (DC) (~115 MW (AC)) Optima Maharashtra hybrid wind-solar project in Dharashiv, Maharashtra. Spanning over 500 acres, it integrates wind and solar technologies with BrightNight’s AI-enabled PowerAlpha® platform to optimize energy output with minimal environmental impact. The project supports Maharashtra’s goal of sourcing over 50% of its energy from renewables by 2030, supplying dispatchable clean power to approximately 230,000 homes annually and reducing carbon emissions by 225,000 metric tons per year.
