Certification has enabled DAS Solar to target commercial deployment in desert and high-altitude regions with strong solar radiation. Image Source: DAS Solar
DAS Solar, a China-based photovoltaic module manufacturer, has received its first UVID certification from TÜV Rheinland at Intersolar Europe in Munich. The DH132NE n-type TOPCon module was tested under standard 2 PfG 2944/07.23, which simulates long-term ultraviolet exposure for reliability assessment. According to TÜV Rheinland, the test involved 120 kWh/m² UV exposure on the front and 60 kWh/m² on the back side. The module was evaluated for electrical output, structural integrity, and appearance following the exposure. DAS Solar said that the module recorded less than 1% power loss, meeting the certification’s requirement of below 3% degradation. The UVID standard addresses UV-induced power loss, which is critical for systems in deserts and high-altitude areas.
