Tongwei Co., Ltd., a China-based PV technology firm, reported new TÜV-certified records in its TOPCon module lineup on March 20, 2025. The TNC-G12R module reached 682.8 W output at 25.28% efficiency with a 2382×1134 mm size, while the larger TNC-G12 module achieved 778.5 W at 25.06% efficiency across 2384×1303 mm. Both modules outperformed standard-size counterparts by around 60 W. Performance gains resulted from improved integration of TNC cell and module technologies using tubular PECVD poly deposition, Poly Tech, EPT passivation, and screen printing. Optical and electrical design optimization contributed to a 19.3 W power and 0.72% efficiency increase for TNC-G12R, and a 15.1 W power and 0.48% efficiency boost for TNC-G12. Tongwei developed the industry’s first G12 PECVD Poly pilot line and remains active in TOPCon research.
