Sungrow FPV, a China-based provider of floating solar technology, launched its new FPV system on May 7 at Intersolar Europe in Munich. According to Sungrow FPV, the system has a modular design with pre-assembled components that reduces installation time by 30% through a six-step process. The company stated that TÜV certification ensures snow load resistance up to 2.3 kN/m² and guarantees 25 years of operational reliability. The system supports modules up to 2465 mm × 1303 mm and offers adjustable tilt angles between 5° and 15°. Sungrow FPV added that its redesigned layout increases capacity by 10–15% per unit area and includes a 0.58 m maintenance walkway. The Netherlands’ National Institute for Energy Research recognized the system as a technically significant contribution to advancing large-scale floating solar deployment across Europe.
