SMA America, the US subsidiary of Germany-based SMA Solar Technology AG, has confirmed it will begin domestic integration of its Medium Voltage Power Station (MVPS) units in Q1 2026. The MVPS is a 20-foot turnkey system that integrates central inverters, medium-voltage transformers, and switchgear, and is designed for utility-scale solar and storage projects. SMA America has stated the integration is intended to simplify logistics, reduce shipping delays, and accelerate deployment timelines for US customers. The company has also said it is phasing in local component sourcing to align with Inflation Reduction Act content requirements. The domestically integrated units are expected to be broadly available by Q2 2026. The US is being positioned as a primary integration site as SMA America scales its capabilities to meet rising demand for factory-tested, modular energy solutions.
