UK-based Seaward Electronic, an electrical safety testing solution, was named a finalist of The smarter E AWARD 2025 in the "Photovoltaics" category for its PV:1525-IV application. The PV:1525-IV was a portable testing device for PV systems rated up to 1,500 V DC and 25 A. It combined output analysis, safety testing, and user navigation. It included IV curve analysis and diagnostic tools to detect faults like power decreasing, cabling issues, or module degradation. Bluetooth connectivity enabled integration into maintenance and installation workflows. It was designed for PV installers and O&M teams. Winners will be announced on May 6 at the event in Germany.
