Origami Solar, a US-based manufacturer of steel solar module frames, has expanded its product line to support growing market demand. As the industry shifts from imported aluminum to domestic steel, the company introduced new frames for utility, commercial, and residential use. These include a 30 mm lightweight frame, flangeless short-side designs in 30 mm and 35 mm profile, and a residential model qualifying for the IRS Domestic Content Bonus. All frames are designed for automated manufacturing and quick delivery, using fewer components and supported by Finite-Element Analysis and third-party testing. The designs offer increased wind and snow load capacity. According to Wood Mackenzie, the US added 50 GW of solar capacity in 2024. Origami Solar was recently selected to supply steel frames for Sirius PV modules.
