LONGi, a China-based manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, has launched the EcoLife series at Intersolar Europe 2025, introducing the first commercial HBC-based modules. The series includes two 54-cell bifacial models: the LR7-54HJBB full black module with 24.7% efficiency and 505W output, and the LR7-54HJD transparent module with 25.0% efficiency and 510W output. Both models are designed for compact rooftops and low-light conditions and use TaiRay wafers for higher rupture resistance. According to LONGi, the HBC architecture combines HJT passivation and back contact design to deliver over 750 mV open-circuit voltage. The modules include an anti-shading layout that reduces localized temperatures by 28%, minimizing fire risk. LONGi stated the EcoLife modules have a -0.24%/°C temperature coefficient, 1% first-year degradation, and will be available across Europe starting August 2025.
