Hi-MO 9 achieved up to 32.62% higher per-kilowatt power generation and lower temperatures than TOPCon modules in shaded environments. Image Source: PRNewswire
The China Central Certification (Certification Center), an official testing organization headquartered in China, released a performance report comparing LONGi's Hi-MO 9 and TOPCon modules under various conditions. The demonstration project, conducted in Hongdao Team, Yazhou District, Sanya City, tested 20 modules of each type under three scenarios: full sunlight, partial shading, and persistent shading. Under optimal sunlight from October to December 2024, Hi-MO 9 achieved a 0.75% per-kilowatt and 5.22% area-specific power generation gain over TOPCon, with a lower backsheet temperature of 0.69°C on average. Under partial shading, Hi-MO 9 recorded a 32.62% per-kilowatt and 37.34% area-specific gain, maintaining a backsheet temperature 7.43°C lower. When exposed to 18 days of persistent shading, it showed an 11.34% per-kilowatt and 16.27% area-specific gain. The study highlights Hi-MO 9’s improved efficiency and lower thermal impact across different operational environments.
