LONGi, a China-based solar manufacturer serving global utility and rooftop markets, has recently participated in Solar & Storage Live Africa from 25–27 March in Johannesburg. At the event, LONGi introduced its Hi-MO X10 modules built on HPBC 2.0 cell technology, delivering up to 670 W output and 24.8% efficiency. The company signed a cumulative 555 MW supply framework agreement with EPC contractors and distributors across Africa. The Hi-MO X10 series includes single-glass, double-glass, and anti-dust variants developed for distributed PV applications. A live demonstration compared the modules to TOPCon under shading, showing improved stability and reduced power loss. Featuring a bypass diode design, the modules lower operating temperatures by over 28 percent. LONGi also addressed concerns about rooftop energy generation and system reliability during discussions at the exhibition.
