JinkoSolar, a China-based manufacturer of PV products, has announced new efficiency records for its TOPCon solar technology. The National Photovoltaic Industry Metrology and Testing Center verified its 182 mm n-type monocrystalline silicon cell achieving 27.02% full-area conversion efficiency. TÜV SÜD also certified the company’s TOPCon module at 25.58% maximum efficiency. These results were enabled by process upgrades, including metallization laser enhancement, emitter passivation, and local absorption passivation contact. On the module side, JinkoSolar applied integrated film design, SMBB layout, and reflective film technology. The company’s upgraded TOPCon lines now produce modules with up to 670 W output, 24.8% efficiency, and 85% bifaciality, offering a 10% performance gain over standard products. JinkoSolar plans to upgrade over 40% of its production lines and build 40 to 50 GW of high-efficiency TOPCon capacity by the end of 2025.
