JA Solar, headquartered in China, has introduced the DeepBlue 5.0 PV module, featuring a power output of up to 670 W and an efficiency of 24.8%. The module has incorporated Bycium+ 5.0 cell technology, integrating optimized electrical architecture, improved wafer design, and structural refinements. DeepBlue 5.0 has achieved a lower Levelized Cost of Energy by up to 4.3% compared to DeepBlue 4.0 Pro. The module has an ultra-high open-circuit voltage of 749 mV, ultra-low oxygen content of 3 ppma, and enhanced minority carrier lifetime. It has a first-year degradation rate of ≤1% and an annual linear degradation of ≤0.4%. Designed for utility-scale, commercial, and residential applications globally, DeepBlue 5.0 has mass production scheduled for Q4 2025, with power ratings ranging from 640 W to 670 W.
