Huasun Energy, a China-based solar technology company, has launched its Kunlun Series HJT modules for vertical photovoltaic applications. According to Huasun Energy, the modules feature near-100% bifaciality and are designed to improve land-use efficiency, reliability, and energy yield. Huasun said the modules were tested with Next2Sun at a 5.2 MW AgriPV site in Merzig-Wellingen, Germany, showing a 12% performance gain from better snow and dust resistance and increased light reflection. A simulation at a 96.8 MW AC site in Blankenfelde demonstrated a 7.91% rise in operating hours and 10-hectare land savings. Compared to TOPCon, the modules achieved 8.72% lower LCOE and 3.76% higher IRR. Huasun stated the modules suit rooftops, offshore, and transport corridors, offering dual-peak output and ultra-low degradation.
