Germany-based GoodWe Europe GmbH, a provider of solar inverters and storage systems, has been named a finalist in the E-Mobility category of The Smarter E AWARD 2025 for its Vela Series Residential Solar Carport. The company said the carport uses 535 W TOPCon half-cell Polaris Series BIPV panels with 21.5% efficiency and integrated waterproofing. Its modular aluminum frame includes adjustable poles to fit various residential layouts without heavy machinery. The 'single' and 'double unit' sizes are 5,500 × 3,000 × 3,200 mm and 5,500 × 5,500 × 3,200 mm respectively. The Vela Series Residential Solar Carport is supplied as a complete kit to streamline transport, installation, and warranty processes. The system delivers solar power for electric vehicle charging and home use, with optional CCTV and motion-sensor lighting. Winners will be announced on May 6 at Messe München.
