GoodWe, a China-based provider of solar inverters and energy storage systems, has launched the ET G2 hybrid inverter series for residential use. The company said that the inverters are available in 6 kW to 15 kW capacities and support up to 160% PV oversizing. Each unit is equipped with up to three MPPTs, a smart meter, and provides UPS-level backup during power outages. GoodWe stated that up to four units can operate in parallel, making the system suitable for single and multi-family homes. Safety features of this inverter include AFCI 3.0, remote shutdown, surge protection, and IP66-rated enclosures. The ET G2 is compatible with the Lynx D high-voltage battery, which offers modular storage from 5 kWh to 40 kWh. GoodWe confirmed that both the ET G2 and Lynx D battery received the 2024 Red Dot Award for product design.
