Fluke Corporation, a US-based manufacturer of electronic testing and measurement equipment, has launched a new ground fault detection tool. The device is aimed at improving maintenance safety and operational efficiency in utility-scale solar PV systems. Planned to be introduced at RE+ 2025, it enables non-contact tracing of faults in 1500 V installations. The technology allows technicians to locate issues without disconnecting circuits or relying on complex site maps. According to Fluke, ground faults have accounted for 4% of workplace electrical fatalities in the United States between 2011 and 2023. These incidents have often resulted in costly downtime and reduced system performance. Fluke has said that the new tool strengthens solar system safety standards while minimizing operational risks and enhancing system resilience. Fluke Corporation has announced plans to introduce the product at booth V2065, with live demonstrations of its solar maintenance technologies.
