Vancouver-based Daanaa Resolution, Inc., a power semiconductor developer, has introduced Zodiac. It is a comprehensive power electronics solution for PV modules that integrates inverter functionality along with DC optimization, rapid shutdown, and diagnostics at the substring level.This integrated design enables independent performance of each substring, reducing energy losses and simplifying installation by eliminating the need for separate external power electronics. Independent analysis confirmed increased energy output, with up to 42% improvement under shading.  The system is composed of two modules: Virgo, which manages power conversion and monitoring for individual substrings, and Pandora, which aggregates AC power and handles communication.The system was designed for easy installation and operation. The project addressed longstanding solar challenges.
