Castillo Engineering, a Florida-based solar engineering firm, has invested $2.5 million to improve project execution for utility-scale developments. The company has launched PMO 360, a real-time platform for managing timelines, engineering data, and client communication. Castillo Engineering also introduced Design IQ, a tool co-developed with a global software partner to automate calculations and AutoCAD drafting tasks. According to Castillo Engineering, these tools aim to reduce errors, improve workflow efficiency, and accelerate project delivery. The firm appointed Arun Ramadass as Vice President of Operations and Gary Joseph as Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Founder Rick Castillo was named Chief Operating Officer to lead the newly formed Project Management Office. As per Castillo Engineering, these developments respond to growing demand from data centers and AI applications, with US utility-scale solar capacity projected to reach 356 GW DC by 2035.
