Astronergy, a Chinese PV module manufacturer with headquarters in Hangzhou, has introduced the ASTRO N7 2.0 series with 650 W+ output and 24% efficiency. Modules are developed using n-type TOPCon cell technology and are designed to be installed in utility-scale as well as commercial solar projects. According to Astronergy, the modules come with a bifaciality rate of up to 85%, appropriate for reflective conditions like the desert or snowy areas. The firm revealed that the latest passivation methods were utilized to enhance resistance and decrease leakage current to sustain stable operation under low irradiance conditions, such as 200 W/㎡. This design is designed towards enabling uniform electricity production during dawn and dusk as well as overcast conditions, to facilitate more stable output under varying weather and lighting conditions.
