The ASTRO N7 module has demonstrated a 23% lower low-irradiance efficiency loss compared to the average of other tested bifacial TOPCon modules.
According to Astronergy, headquartered in China, the ASTRO N7 66-cell bifacial module has received a "Very Good" rating in PV Magazine’s evaluation, conducted with Clean Energy Associates and Intertek Laboratories. The module has shown a 1.51% front-side low-irradiance efficiency loss, which is 23% lower than the average of tested bifacial TOPCon modules. This performance enables 5-7% higher annual power generation under suboptimal conditions such as cloudy weather and low sunlight hours. As per the evaluation, the module has a power output exceeding 630 W and a 23.3% efficiency rating, making it suitable for industrial, commercial, and utility-scale projects. PV Magazine said that the assessment covered eight key parameters, including PID resistance, EL imaging, and temperature coefficients, to evaluate real-world performance.
