Astronergy, a solar module manufacturer headquartered in China, has received the ECS PPE2 Low Carbon Certificate in France. According to Astronergy, its ASTRO N7, N7s, and N8 modules achieved a carbon footprint of 380 kgCO₂/kWc, which is around 15% below the industry average. As per the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), the updated PPE2 standards assess emissions from raw material sourcing to final delivery. These standards, introduced in February 2023, are now central to public solar project evaluations in France. Astronergy said that the certification strengthens its eligibility in French and European markets where low-emission compliance is prioritized. The company’s certified modules are positioned to support EPCs and developers seeking high-efficiency solutions that meet regulated carbon thresholds.
