ARRAY Technologies, a US-based manufacturer of solar tracker systems, has launched DuraTrack Hail XP, designed to improve resilience against extreme hail and wind conditions. The system is built on ARRAY’s existing DuraTrack platform and introduces a 77° stow angle and AC-powered control, eliminating the need for battery systems. It is fully integrated with ARRAY’s SmarTrack Hail Alert Response and Passive Wind Stow technologies to reduce potential weather-related damage. DuraTrack Hail XP includes reinforced components such as a larger gear rack, upgraded damper, and strengthened bearing housing for increased structural durability. According to ARRAY Technologies, the system was developed with input from insurers and industry experts to address growing demands for weather risk mitigation. DuraTrack Hail XP is expected to begin shipping in early 2026 for deployment in hail- and wind-prone solar energy markets.
