ARRAY Technologies, a US-based solar tracking solutions manufacturer, has expanded its SmarTrack software for the H250 dual-row tracker. The update has added backtracking and diffuse optimization, improving energy yield across Europe, South America, and Africa. According to ARRAY Technologies, SmarTrack Backtracking uses terrain analysis and real-time data to reduce shading on uneven sites. SmarTrack Diffuse adjusts tracker angles during cloudy weather using data from Global Horizontal Irradiance sensors. ARRAY Technologies has confirmed both features were validated through field tests in Spain and Brazil. The update applies to existing and new H250 trackers as part of ARRAY Technologies’ integrated platform. ARRAY Technologies is now optimizing over 5 GW of installed solar capacity globally with its enhanced SmarTrack software suite.
