AIKO to power Solar Team Twente’s car in 2025 solar race

AIKO, a China-based photovoltaic technology manufacturer, has partnered with Solar Team Twente to supply Back Contact solar cells for the 2025 Bridgestone World Solar Challenge. The 3,000-kilometer race across Australia is a major global competition for solar-powered vehicles. Solar Team Twente is using AIKO’s high-efficiency cells to improve energy output and minimize conversion losses under race conditions. According to AIKO, the cells are engineered for consistent performance and durability in varying environments. The partnership highlights AIKO’s application of advanced solar technologies in specialized mobility platforms beyond traditional markets.
