Space startups Dhruva Space and Pixxel have entered a partnership to integrate Dhruva’s Solis+ solar panels into Pixxel’s next satellite fleet. The panels will power Pixxel’s high-resolution Earth observation satellites. Pixxel’s fleet builds on its 2025 Firefly satellites, which provided 5-meter commercial hyperspectral imagery. Dhruva’s Solis+ panels use high-efficiency triple-junction GaAs solar cells and offer power capacities scaling to several kilowatts. The panels are designed for reliability in orbit. Dhruva has exported Solis+ panels to the UAE, Austria, Australia, and France. In November 2024, Dhruva delivered Solis+ units to the Government of India.
