Sunlike Lab has integrated electroluminescence, supported both flash and continuous light, and achieves over 99.5 percent spectral coverage. Image Source: The smarter E AWARD
Germany-based MBJ Solutions GmbH was one of the finalists at The smarter E AWARD 2025 in the photovoltaics category for its MBJ Sunlike Lab. The system was a solar simulator with integrated electroluminescence measurement for PV modules. It was designed for module sizes up to 1.4 meters by 2.5 meters and used 32 LEDs. It supported both continuous light and flash operation. The simulator offered spectral coverage above 99.5 percent and spectral deviation below 10 percent. The solar spectrum was modeled with high accuracy, reducing spectral mismatch in most cases. Winners will be announced on May 6 at Messe München, Germany.
