JA Solar, a Beijing photovoltaic module manufacturer, has launched mass production of its DeepBlue 5.0 series at its Yangzhou factory. According to JA Solar, the first batch of production from the new line was shipped to a zero-carbon park project in China. The DeepBlue 5.0 series feature Bycium+ 5.0 n-type cell technology, high-density packaging and a manufacturer-optimized interconnection design, resulting in improved production efficiency. JA Solar claimed that the DeepBlue modules will provide a conversion efficiency rate of up to 24.8%. JA Solar has also claimed that the introduction of DeepBlue 5.0 components marked a technical upgrade in its production process and was part of a larger initiative to increase energy output and performance for utility-scale and commercial PV deployments.
